Medicare Help in Chicago - in English and Polish
Turning 65, retiring, or losing your coverage from work? Not sure where to start or how to enroll in Medicare? Olivier Wasilewski has advised clients on Medicare for nearly 20 years - from enrolling in Medicare Parts A and B, to choosing a Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement or prescription drug plan. Always done right, without costly mistakes.
A mailbox full of flyers, phone calls at dinnertime, ads on Facebook - and in the middle of it all, YOU…
That's what life in the U.S. looks like shortly before your 65th birthday. Suddenly everyone has "the best plan" for you - yet this is about your health, your doctors, your medications and your money.
The truth is quite different. There is no single best Medicare plan. There are plans properly matched to your individual needs. You can try to find them on your own - or you can use the help of an experienced broker who works with these decisions every day.
All of it in plain language - English or Polish - at Harlem and at Archer in Chicago, and by phone across the U.S.
What does the whole process look like?
We start with a conversation. Free of charge!
At the office or by phone. I explain how Medicare works and what your options are. I point out the solutions available to you. A first meeting takes about 30 minutes.
We compare plans from multiple insurance companies.
UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, WellCare and others. As an independent insurance broker I lay the available plan options side by side and we make the choice together.
I enroll you in the plan.
Once you decide on the right plan, I handle the enrollment and explain what happens next.
Start with the question that won't leave you alone
When should I enroll?
Turning 65, still working, or is retirement still ahead of you? Timing means more here than you'd think - and being late costs for years.
Check the deadlines →How do I enroll?
Step by step: what documents to prepare, where to apply and who can handle it with you - in English or Polish.
See how →Which plan should I pick?
Advantage, Supplement, drug plan - what's really behind these names and which one fits your life.
Compare plans →Is my plan still right for me?
Already on Medicare? Doctor networks and drug lists change every year - a yearly review can genuinely lower your costs.

Olivier Wasilewski - nearly 20 years of advising on Medicare
Before founding his own agency, Olivier spent nearly two decades in UnitedHealthcare's Medicare division: he managed teams of independent agents, and as director of ethnic markets for Illinois he was responsible for bringing Medicare plans to the Polish-American market. He trained agents on how these plans work, so he knows them inside out. Today he puts that experience to work for his clients: he compares offers from multiple insurance companies and helps choose a plan matched to your health, your doctors and your budget.
Learn MoreFrequently asked questions
Is a Medicare consultation really free of charge?
Yes - all advice and consultations related to enrolling in Medicare and choosing a plan are free. Insurance agents are paid a commission by the insurance companies.
Do I have to enroll in Medicare when I turn 65 if I'm still working?
It depends. If you have coverage from an employer with at least 20 employees, you can often safely wait and no extra penalties apply. If you don't, delaying can mean permanently higher premiums. The best move is to check your situation with me about three months before your 65th birthday.
What is the difference between Medicare Advantage and a Supplement (Medigap) plan?
Medicare Advantage replaces Original Medicare and usually has its own network of doctors and hospitals, its own drug list and a set of benefits. A Supplement fills the gaps in Original Medicare. At a consultation we choose the one that fits your needs best.
How do I check whether my doctor accepts a given plan?
During the consultation, before you decide on a plan, we check your doctors, your hospitals and your full medication list.
Do you help people living in different states?
We help clients in many states. Many people move after retiring and want help from someone who speaks their language - English or Polish. We serve clients in IL, FL, AZ, WI, CO, IN, TX, MI, CT, NV, TN, WA, NC, SC, MO, OK, UT.
Do you speak Polish?
Yes. Our agency was built around Chicago's Polish community, and every consultation can be held entirely in Polish. Our Polish-language site is at ubezpieczeniamedicare.com.
